A career in teaching not only offers the chance to make a lasting difference to children and young people - it unlocks amazing opportunities with fantastic rewards and career progression.
Potential teachers are encouraged to come along to a pioneering event at Huddersfield Town Hall on Tuesday 19 March from 3.30pm to 7pm, so that they can find out what it’s really like to teach.
Primary, secondary and SEND teacher-training providers from Kirklees and Calderdale, including School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT), will be on hand to provide information about the different routes of training.
Newly qualified teachers will talk about their unique experiences and journeys and there will be information about funding streams and grants.
One of the ambitions for our region is to have a highly skilled teaching workforce that is equipped with all the knowledge, training and creativity to put into practice - with confidence and originality - what they learned.
Our teacher-trainers provide first class training, support and guidance so that anyone who wants to become a teacher can make a difference to a child or young person’s life.
Informative events like this one are an unmissable chance for our potential next cohort of teachers to find out what it takes so please share with your networks, friends and colleagues.
