In our recent satisfaction survey governor recruitment and retention was highlighted as an issue faced by many governing bodies.
As a service we recently met with the Head of Communications to seek their assistance in formulating a recruitment drive, in the hope that we can build a pool of suitably skilled people ready to serve as governors at those schools in need.
As part of this campaign the Communications team has asked that we put together a couple of case studies of currently serving governors to highlight some of the skills governing bodies look for from potential governors and the rewarding nature serving as a governor can provide.
We’re trying to showcase as broad and diverse range of governors as we can and would really appreciate your input if you could spare a little time.
