October 20, 2017
As you are already aware of the importance of school governance, yourself or someone you know may be interested in becoming a Governing Body Clerk the Governor Clerking Service is currently recruiting.
The main role of a clerk is to take notes of the key points and decisions made at Governing Body meetings and advise the Governing Body on procedures and regulations where necessary. As you will know Governing Bodies usually meet between three to six times a year (in term time), mostly in the evening but the opportunity to clerk for more than one school to increase your earnings is a possibility.
