Annual Consultation regarding Admission Arrangements including Schools’ Published Admission Number (PAN

Governing bodies are reminded that it is now that time of year to think about whether you wish to consult on any changes to your Admission Arrangements including your PAN for the 2017/18 school year. The timeframe for consulting on Admission Arrangements has changed in the most recent School Admissions Code of December 2014, including the length of time to consult and the dates the consultation needs to start and finish by. Kirklees intends to consult on the Admission Arrangements for its community and voluntary controlled schools in the 2017/18 school year from Monday 9 November 2015 – Friday 18 December 2015. The consultation document will appear as an agenda item on the Autumn term governing body meetings. Further information will follow on the Business Solutions website this term.
All Headteachers have also been reminded of the changes to the School Admissions Code re: the consultation process. Kirklees will be contacting all own admission authority schools to confirm if they intend to consult on any changes to their admission arrangements in the 2017/18 school year and if so, if they would like to ‘piggy back’ the Kirklees consultation process. The deadline for being included in the Kirklees consultation process is Wednesday 21 October 2015.
